Scientific Games is bringing together its three subsidiaries, The Global Draw, Barcrest and Games Media, to operate as a single division – SG Gaming.

The creation of SG Gaming brings together over 700 employees across 12 countries. The move is intended to allow the company to build on its position in the LBO, pub, arcade and bingo sectors, as well as advance its strategy for interactive gaming and international growth.

Steve Frater assumes the role of executive chairman of SG Gaming, with Ian Timmis as CEO, Robert White as chief operating officer and Gareth Phillips as chief technology officer. They will be supported by the four current managing directors, who will continue to lead their respective business channels: Phil Horne for UK LBO (The Global Draw), Chris Sullivan for pub, arcade and bingo (Barcrest and Games Media), Alex Stephens for interactive and Michael Koch for international business.

“The three businesses are all leading players in their own right with The Global Draw pioneering gaming terminals in the LBO sector and Barcrest and Games Media producing renowned and successful content for the leading pub, arcade and bingo operators,” said Frater. “Now we are able to further combine their core strengths and expertise to create a powerful international force.

“Our industry continues to evolve and we are committed to remaining at the forefront. By bringing the three businesses together under one division, we can expand our selection of world-class products, content and training for our customers which will ultimately benefit their players.”

SG Gaming will be headquartered in Feltham, London, with offices in Manchester and the Midlands (all UK). It will also have international offices in Mexico and Puerto Rico.
