Mixed fortunes for African casinos.
As in most casino gaming jurisdictions around the world, there has recently been both good news and bad news in the African casino industry.
The bad news included a devastating fire at the oldest hotel casino resort in South Africa. Trade publication Gaming for Africa reported last autumn that Peermont Hotels’ Mmabatho Palms was badly damaged in the blaze, which was investigated by the police and the fire service.
