TouchTunes Music Company will soon offer darts players in social entertainment venues the chance to wager between themselves for real money or credits.

A partnership with gamification services provider Lucra will see Lucra’s software be integrated into TouchTunes’ FunWallet when it launches in Q4 this year.

The software allows users to make wagers and keep track of scores, win rates, earnings and lifetime leaderboard stats.

The contests, hosted in the TouchTunes mobile app, will initially be available on BullShooter dartboards. Players can compete either in the same bar or via remote-play on connected dartboards.

TouchTunes CEO Ross Honey said adding the new capability will not only further engage patrons but also drive “growth and value for our operator customers and venue partners.”

“This partnership will allow millions more people to create memorable moments together by providing exciting new ways to compete with friends on the games we all love,” added Dylan Robbins, CEO of Lucra.

Lucra’s technology will be available in “select markets,” the company said, and will provide responsible gaming tools such as self-exclusion.
