Tropicana Entertainment is interested in buying Sands Bethlehem in the US state of Pennsylvania from Las Vegas Sands.
However, LVS has in the past indicated that it wants a high price - around $1bn - for the property that last year generated $123m in EBITDA and Tropicana chief Carl Icahn’s usual mode of operation is to buy cheaply.
Tropicana Entertainment has been acquiring properties, most recently closing on the $260m plus purchase of Lumiere Place in St Louis, Missouri, from Pinnacle.
LVS has invested $800m in Sands Bethlehem over the past five years.
