Scientific Games has spoken out in praise of Allwyn’s plans for the UK’s National Lottery as the company delivers plans to support the new licensee.
A new 92,000sq.ft scratchcard logistics facility has been opened in Warrington, UK by Scientific Games to serve The National Lottery retailers. In time, Allwyn plans to convert The National Lottery’s technology to Scientific Games’ Symphony enterprise gaming system, including more than 40,000 gaming terminals.
Allwyn’s 10-year licence as operator of the UK’s National Lottery came into effect yesterday, the first time the lottery has changed ownership since its inception 30 years ago.

Andrew Rhodes, chief executive of the Gambling Commission, said of Allwyn’s takeover:
