The three-day South American Gaming Expo and Congress ends today on the Costa Salguero in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Now in its 17th year, SAGSE is by far the biggest gaming conference in the region and has seen increasing numbers of visitors and exhibitors since it first opened its doors to the public in 1993. This year the number of visitors is expected to top well over 10,000, many of whom are key players and buyers in the region.

South America is becoming an increasingly significant region for the gaming industry worldwide and much of the buzz this year has so far revolved around two potentially very lucrative markets: Brazil and Mexico. While casinos have been established in Argentina for some time now and the 18 new casino licences have all been awarded in Chile, operators and manufacturers alike are now setting their sights on these newer markets where the green lighting of casinos is now up for debate.

Meanwhile, the conference - set in the picturesque settings of the ‘Paris of the South’ - is once again proving to be the an ideal environment for leading gaming manufacturers and suppliers to demonstrate the latest in gaming technology trends and products to buyers.
