The Nevada Gaming Commission has approved the US$10.5m fine for Resorts World Las Vegas (RWLV) in relation to alleged anti-money laundering violations.

Commissioner Abbi Silver recused herself due to a “longstanding friendship” with former RWLV president Scott Sibella. However, the vote was passed unanimously at 4-0.
This figure is the second-highest fine ever in the history of the state.
Originally the complaint against RWLV cited 12 counts of regulatory violations, though this was later amended to 10. Resorts World has neither admitted nor denied the allegations, but is implementing a number of reforms in addition to the fine.
