Flutter Entertainment is reportedly expected to be among the bidders for Italy’s main lotto licence.
The Irish Times claims that the Paddy Power and FanDuel owner will make its bid via its existing Sisal business, which it acquired for €1.91bn.
Flutter will reportedly partner with Scientific Games and private equity firm Brookfield for its bid.
The lottery application has a deadline of Monday, March 17.
Flutter is set to bolster further its presence in the Italian market by acquiring Snaitech for €2.3bn, in a deal set to complete by the end of Q2 this year.
