At Php372.33bn (US$6.5bn) in 2024, The Philippines has posted a record gross gaming revenue (GGR), according to The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR).

The figure was a 30.52 per cent increase on the Php285.27bn ($4.97bn) GGR the country posted for 2023.
This figure does not include revenues from offshore gaming operators which were banned at the end of 2024.
“This GGR feat underscores the crucial role of licensed casinos in sustaining the growth momentum of the Philippine gaming sector,” said PAGCOR chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco.
“They remain as our biggest revenue drivers and a major source of government funding for socio-civic programmes.”
Aside from land-based casinos, GGR growth in 2024 was largely driven by the igaming and e-bingo segment which posted Php154.51bn ($2.69bn), a 165.66 per cent jump from Php58.16bn ($1.01bn) in 2023.
This sector now accounts for 41.51 per cent of the total GGR.
“The significant leap in e-games and e-bingo revenues shows that the industry is evolving rapidly, and PAGCOR is committed to ensuring that we keep pace with technological advancements while promoting responsible gaming,” said Tengco.
