Reporting the quarterly results for the period ending June 30, the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement declared a drop in gross operating profit from casino licensees to US$178.4m, a 1.3 per cent decline year-on-year.

Gross operating profit reflects earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, amortisation, charges from affiliates and other miscellaneous items as reflected on each casino licensees’ income statement.
Net revenues reported by the casino licensees, however, were 1.3 per cent up against the previous year to $829.8m. Net revenue reflects casino revenue (minus all promotional allowances) plus rooms revenue, food and beverage revenue and other revenue.
