Thomas McCartney has resigned as president of the Tropicana Las Vegas casino and hotel.
McCartney has worked in the casino industry for 20 years and joined Tropicana Las Vegas as its president and chief operating officer after leaving Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino in 2009.
“It has been a great pleasure being part of a winning team at Tropicana Las Vegas,” said McCartney. “I am confident that Tropicana Las Vegas once again has become a very competitive property on the Las Vegas Strip due to its physical and service transformation.”
Alex Yemenidjian, chairman and CEO of Tropicana Las Vegas, said McCartney had a “tremendous impact” on the business.
“In addition to being a superb executive, he is also a great friend and I am going to miss him,” he added.
