Macau’s gross gaming revenue amounted to MOP17.7bn (US$2.21bn) in June, reflecting a 12.4 per cent decrease from May’s MOP20.19bn ($2.51bn).

According to data released by the local regulator, the Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau (DICJ), the June tally marked a 16.4 per cent increase from the previous year.

The result also represents a 25.7 per cent decrease from the MOP23.8bn ($2.97bn) reported in June 2019, before the pandemic.

For the first half of 2024, Macau’s casino GGR reached MOP113.8bn ($14.20bn), up 41.9 per cent from last year but still 23.9 per cent lower than the same period in 2019, which was MOP149.50bn ($18.66bn).
