Macau’s economy continues to slow

Macau's economy continued to contract in the second quarter of the year, according to figures published by the Statistics and Census Service.

The Chinese enclave’s gross domestic product decreased 13.7 per cent in the three months to June 30, following a fall of 11.9 per cent in the previous quarter.

Reports indicate that gambling revenues from Macau’s casinos was down 2.4 per cent on the previous quarter.
