Several tribal gaming organisations in California, US, have taken swift action with a lawsuit against card rooms following the passage of a bill last year.

As reported by CalMatters, the tribes in Sacramento County allege that the gambling locations are operating illegally and taking away tribal revenues.
A bill passed by California governor Gavin Newsom in September opened up the possibility of lawsuits by the tribes against the card rooms.
Before the bill, tribes lacked the ability to sue the gambling halls.
A statement from the card room industry insisted the operations are "in full compliance with the law."
