This year’s GAT Expo Cartagena in Colombia will benefit from a Temporary Free Trade Zone to allow land-based gaming exhibitors to ship equipment and hardware free of duties and VAT.

The Colombian government has eased restrictions from March 28 until May 30 ahead of the GAT Expo Cartagena at the Las Américas Convention Center between April 28-30.
The event organisers said the move will optimise logistics and reduce costs for exhibitors.
José Aníbal Aguirre, CEO of GAT, said: "We still have available spaces for slot machines, roulette and more. Land-based gaming companies continue to attend and return to our fair in Cartagena for a compelling reason: their return on investment is strong, and their brand visibility in strategic markets is extraordinary.”
Online gaming suppliers will also be present alongside industry and regulators such as Coljuegos, the gambling regulator and Colombian gambling trade association Fecoljuegos.
Day one of the event will offer gaming insights while the three-day exhibition will offer a dedicated space for esports.
This will culminate in efootball and Counter-Strike tournaments.
