Organisers of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference (IGE), held on April 9 – 10, have confirmed that they welcomed over 1,600 visitors to the event at the Salone delle Fontane in Rome.

The figure is a 20 per cent increase on the previous year.

Attendees came from across 16 different countries to visit the event, which this year was built around the theme “The sustainable future of gaming.”

Supporting the expo were more than 50 content sessions, including panels, keynotes, roundtables and workshops, by industry figures, regulators and academics.

“This 2025 edition was an edition of great maturity,” said Simona Clarizio, head of the Italian Gaming Expo & Conference. “We wanted to create an open space for strategic construction, where institutions, operators and innovators could discuss the future of the sector, offering an opportunity for coordinated discussion between politics and industry.

“Last but not least, we addressed innovative and decisive subjects for the future of the sector, such as the integration between gaming and artificial intelligence, with a view to responsible and clear technological development.

“The evaluation can only be a positive one: IGE represents a concrete platform, where public gaming is not only told, but also designed and built, becoming a must attend event for those who want to be a protagonist in gaming evolution”.
