Veteran coin handling expert David Bellis, chairman and founder of Innovative Technology, has been named EY Entrepreneur of the Year for the North of England.
The award, which recognises successful entrepreneurs making a positive impact on their society, has a "Disruptor" category, for those judged to have vision and the courage to challenge the status quo.
It is in this category that Bellis was judged the winner this year. He will now go on to represent his region in the UK finals in November of this year.
