A large outdoor gaming terrace and a sports viewing area will upgrade the Highcross Street venue “inside and out” ready for the summer, the Rank Group brand said.

The gaming terrace will look out over the city centre and the casino will have a new external look to it, Grosvenor added.

Inside, refurbished and modernised lighting, décor, flooring, internal signage and toilets will be installed, while upgraded tables and electronic roulette terminals are also under construction.

Paul Davies, general manager of Grosvenor Casino Leicester (pictured), said the property will have a key focus on “gaming, dining and sports viewing in a vibrant atmosphere,” aiming to offer an “exceptional” guest experience.

The 30 new jobs, increasing the staffing by 25 per cent, will span areas including food and beverage and gaming hosts.

Wall screens in the casino will allow visitors to watch and bet.
