With the receipt of all necessary regulatory approvals, Gillon McLachlan has been formally appointed the new managing director and CEO of Tabcorp.
McLachlan is a former long-serving AFL chief executive, finishing his contract at the end of the 2023 season after almost a full decade.
With his appointment in place, Bruce Akhurst will retire from the Tabcorp Board and cease as executive director, effective immediately.
Tabcorp’s former MD and CEO, Adam Rytenskild resigned last year after the board becoming aware of “inappropriate and offensive language used by Mr Rytenskild in the workplace.”
