Euromat Summit 2018 is set to take place from June 4-6 at Monaco’s Monte Carlo Bay Hotel and Resort and will feature a panel discussion on alternative payment options.

Euromat Summit to expand remit

Traditionally the summit has been popular with European gaming regulators and Euromat’s member trade associations but there are plans to expand its remit.

The 2018 event will benefit from an enlarged agenda, reaching out to manufacturers, distributors and operators of gaming and amusements products, in addition to its existing base.

Euromat president Jason Frost said: “I’m happy to confirm that Quentin Stott, founder and managing director of Reflex Gaming, will be joining us for the 2018 event and that he has agreed to be a panelist on the session entitled ‘Alternative Payment Options: Now Or Never?’ Quentin has an amazing knowledge of machine manufacturing and of producing games for the European markets and beyond.”

Stott welcomes the opportunity to take part in the summit, treating it as a platform to warn against industry threats. He said: “The shift away from the use of physical money to the likes of contact debit cards and also Apple Pay is moving at such a pace that, in my strong opinion, our industry should unite in lobbying to keep pace with these social changes. Failure to do so could result in catastrophic consequences for our sector.”
