The third international standard casino in the growing portfolio of the Gauselmann Group in Germany is nearing completion.

The Halle Casino in Saale, south-west Germany, is a former casino venue recently taken over by Merkur Casino. The casino brand is operated by Merkur Spielbanken Sachsen-Anhalt, a joint venture of the Gauselmann Group and the Swiss city casino Baden AG. A soft opening will take place next month with the official opening scheduled for February 2019.
Marcus Brandenburg, director of the casino, reported that around 340sq.m of the 800sq.m of floor space will be used for gaming. The premises have been gutted for the restoration work, with new ceilings and flooring and a new central air conditioning unit. Twenty jobs will be created by the opening of the casino, said David Schnabel, managing director of Merkur Spielbanken Sachsen-Anhalt.
