Gaming machine manufacturer Apex has added to its operating arm with the acquisition of Ingo Casinos, a chain of nine venues in the Czech Republic near the German border.

“It is our belief that these are the best casinos in the Czech Republic,” said Apex head Johannes Weissengruber.

“This acquisition is very important for the future of our company. We now intend to invest in electronic equipment in order to bring what are quite traditional casinos up to international standard in terms of their gaming offer.

“We will also double the slot machine count in the casinos from 250 to around 500. We will also make the venues more modern, with centralised controlling and more electronic equipment in the live gaming areas. We will also link all the casinos together with a wide-area jackpot. We will also put in TITO and player tracking systems – the latter is very important.”
