Detroit’s three casinos have reported an aggregate monthly revenue of US$112.5m for August 2024.

$110.8m of this came from table games and slots, which is a 4.2 per cent increase on the previous month and a 5.9 per cent increase on the previous year. The three casinos paid $8.97m in gaming taxes to the state of Michigan through the month, as well as $17.3m in wagering taxes and development agreement payment to the City of Detroit.
$1.7m of the total revenue came from retail sports betting. The casinos reported a total retail sports betting handle of $9.61m. The casinos reported paying $64,015 in gaming taxes to the state and $78,241 in wagering taxes to the City of Detroit.
The August market shares were 48 per cent for MGM, 28 per cent for MotorCity and 24 per cent for Hollywood Casino at Greektown.
