Bookmaker William Hill’s online casino brand, William Hill Casino Club, has left Russia, reports Casino News Today
The company informed players that they will not be able to access the site from September 23 and that customer accounts would be suspended from that time.
A customer advisory from William Hill’s Casino read: “Starting from September 23, William Hill Casino Club will terminate its activities in the Russian territory for legislatory reasons. All active customer accounts will be suspended.”
Between September 15-21, Roskomnadzor, the Russian federal service for supervision of mass communication, blocked 439 online gaming websites in Russia having blocked more than 1,700 in August.
