New ways of generating income sources being sought in Russia.
AMID the ongoing economic crisis in Russia, caused by western sanctions and the decline of global oil prices, the Russian government is considering generating additional sources of income for the federal budget with the help of gambling.
This will take place through the establishment of a new gambling zone in the country. It is planned that the new zone may be established in the St Petersburg region and will be mainly aimed at players and tourists from neighbouring Estonia and Finland, as well as the Nordic states.
