Previously, the statistics did not include this information as, prior to November 1, 2014, online operators in the UK did not have to have a licence from the commission.

The data covers the period from November 2014 to March 2015, with more to be published in June 2016.

During the five-month period, gross gaming revenue for the UK i-gaming sector was £1.45bn. Online casino yield was the highest proportion of that total, generating £834m in revenue. Betting was £472.7m while betting exchange generated £55.7m. Online bingo GGY was £82.6m and pool betting £6.3m.

Slots accounted for £532.5m of online casino yield with table games contributing £140.3m. In terms of sports betting, football topped the table with a GGY of £168.4m, followed by horse racing with revenues of £127.9m.
