Helix Leisure has expanded its US sales and marketing teams with two key appointments.

Tomas Cortijo Jim Kipper Jim Kipper

Tomás Cortijo has been appointed director of business development and channel marketing for Helix Leisure and Jim Kipper has been appointed sales executive for Helix Leisure subsidiary Embed. Both will support the company’s growth by identifying new areas of expansion as well as new opportunities within the existing business.

Cortijo brings to the company experience in consumer entertainment, having worked for computer gaming peripherals manufacturer Razer and Blizzard Entertainment, creator of the Warcraft series of video games.

“With Helix experiencing growth group-wide, it’s so important to bring in great people that understand how to scale, yet respect the importance of the operators that got us here in the first place,” said Helix COO Luke McKimmie. “Tomás is very adept in this area and will be a driving force behind our ambition to progress the industry through stronger customer and market engagement.”

Kipper, meanwhile, has close to a decade of experience in FEC operations and game room development with Pinnacle Entertainment Advisors by Redemption Plus.

Ted Parsons, general manager of Helix Leisure USA, said: “Jim’s expertise and background in our industry give him a unique ability to show how card systems can make a difference. He really understands the operations and requirements of our current and future customers.”
