Part one of a country-by-country report on the casino industry in the Caribbean
FOR many years the casino industry in the Caribbean has been in the doldrums but 2015 and onwards should see major changes with mega casinos being built and also some countries legalising casino gambling for the very first time and others under pressure to do so.
On March 27 in the Bahamas Baha Mar will finally open its doors to the public and included in the fine resorts making up the complex will be the Baha Mar Casino and Hotel which includes a 1,000-room hotel and what is claimed to be the largest casino in the Caribbean at 100,000sq.ft.
