Lawmakers in the US state of New Jersey have introduced a bill to make it easier to for smaller casinos to launch in Atlantic City.
Under bill S366, the state legislature is reworking a 2011 law for boutique casinos that are smaller and less costly. The new law would allow these smaller projects to have 200 hotel rooms and reside in existing buildings.
A prior bill required projects to eventually expand to 500 hotel rooms and be in a newly constructed building.
