In last month’s issue we focused on the casino market in Peru leading up to this year’s Peru Gaming Show in capital Lima. As it is one of Latin America’s most important markets, many people wanted to have a say and there wasn’t space enough for all the comments. So we decided to follow up this month with interviews with Jessica Luna, sales director for Latin America and the Caribbean at GTECH, Sebastian Salat, president of WMS International, and Albert Radman, sales director at Alfastreet.

Peru

InterGaming: How long have you been doing business in Peru?

Luna: GTECH Peru (Atronic Peru from 1996 until 2011 and Spielo International from 2011 until earlier this year) has been doing business in Peru for 18 years. Speilo is  now GTECH’s gaming product brand in Peru and elsewhere.

Salat: We have had a presence in Peru since WMS International was founded in 2000. At that time, we were exploring the potential of the Latin American marketplace. Peru is well regulated and that was one of the reasons we chose to position WMS in this particular nation.

Radman: Alfastreet is pretty equally distributed all over Latin America due to our distributors, who are located in many Latin American countries. We have also been present in Peru for the last three years. We have been collaborating really well with our distributors there and they have been helping us a great deal in satisfying our clients’ needs. One of the most popular ETG products in the Peruvian (as in other Latin American) market is our R8 roulette. However, interest in other products has also been increasing constantly, which has enabled us to bring diverse Alfastreet ETG products to casino floors all over Latin America. We are also proud that in Peru our machines are installed in one of the biggest casinos in the country and also in two other big casino groups.
