Marvel park design finalised
The concept and masterplan for the Marvel Superheroes theme park to be developed at Dubailand has been completed.
The 4.5 million square feet project will be split into three zones - City Centrum, the Hub and Marvel Academy - and will feature rides based on some of the most popular Marvel characters, including Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and the X-Men, which are currently undergoing trials.
"Work on the Marvel Superheroes theme park is on fast track," reports Mohammed Alhabbai, CEO of Dubailand. "The finalisation of the design and master plan marks a significant milestone in the progress of the development that is already generating great excitement with the offsite trial runs of its three popular rides."
The park will open with 17 rides and attractions. It expects to pull in over three million visitors a year and is set to open at the end of 2012.
