Comtrade partners with Microsoft for EDIT student programme

EDIT, which stands for Education for Innovative Thinkers, offers workshops and programmes to create software solutions and provide business experience.

It is now the largest summer programme for information technology in southern and eastern Europe.

Microsoft co-sponsored the programme as the company's open-source Bot Builder SDK and Cognitive Services are the technical foundation for this year’s challenge - to develop a chatbot that supports the gaming industry’s emphasis on multi-channel gaming and player life-cycles.

“Through its history, Comtrade Gaming employed a talented pool of EDIT students that now influence our product development,” explains Aleš Gornjec, general manager of Comtrade Gaming.

“By leveraging the region’s technology-focused talent, we enrich the market and our products. EDIT shows that our emphasis on innovation and technology is engrained in all facets of the business.”

The EDIT summer school programmes are located in Slovenia, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and welcomed more than 100 students whose studies mainly focus on computer science and information technology.
