US online gaming operator Caesars Interactive Entertainment has acquired social and mobile games developer Buffalo Studios for an undisclosed sum.
Caesars Interactive, a subsidiary of land-based operator Caesars Entertainment, plans to retain 74 Buffalo employees and integrate Buffalo's Bingo Blitz and Bingo Rush products with an affiliate of Caesars Interactive’s social games subsidiary, Playtika.
Buffalo Studios launched Bingo Blitz three years ago and, on Facebook, the game now attracts more than 700,000 daily and 2.7 million monthly active users.
Mitch Garber, CEO for Caesars Interactive, said: “The Bingo Blitz business represents a unique opportunity for Caesars Interactive Entertainment to add to our portfolio of social and mobile game assets and to grow our market share across all interactive platforms.”
