Betway.it, the Italian arm of online gaming company The Betway Group, has been granted authorisation for slots in Italy.
The approval from AAMS, the government body, consolidates Betway’s position in Italy where it already offers casino products via www.betway.it. Betway was awarded an online gambling licence in Italy in May after around a year of integration and regulatory compliance measures.
Betway Group CEO Richard Akitt said: “Italy has one of the fastest growing markets for online gaming in Europe. The granting by AAMS for slots means that Betway is in a strong position to maximise potential from this market growth.”
“Betway.it is one of a relatively small number of operators to be licensed to provide a full range of online gaming products in Italy,” added Akitt.
