Leading pools and tote gaming supplier Sportech has appointed David J. Schreff as chief operating officer with specific responsibility for the US and Latin American markets.
Schreff will report directly to chief executive Ian Penrose and will oversee the development of all US activities of the company, which currently employs more than 700 staff in the United States, with offices and operations in Connecticut, Atlanta, New Jersey and California.
The 57 year old has worked in the sports, entertainment and media sector for more than 30 years, having held a number of senior roles in companies including the National Basketball Association (NBA), Walt Disney (Disney Channel), Marvel Entertainment and Viacom (Showtime Networks).
Ian Penrose said: "We have made great progress in developing our business in the United States, and David will now lead the management team in the implementation of our growth plans to take advantage of the opportunities available across the Americas."
