For the first time since being closed down last year and the subsequent bailout by PokerStars, Full Tilt Poker was relaunched on November 6, 2012.
With many players keen to access their share of the millions of dollars frozen in accounts since Black Friday, the first few hours of business saw something of a rush.
More than 5,000 players accessed the site in the first five minutes following its launch at 7am EST (GMT-5). Within 90 minutes, more than 20,000 had accessed Full Tilt Poker.
Despite a year-and-a-half offline, many analysts think it likely Full Tilt Poker will reclaim its position as the second-ranked online poker site in terms of player traffic, behind PokerStars.
