The Privatisation Unit, acting on behalf of the Maltese government is launching a public competitive tendering process leading to the granting of a 10-year concession to operate the National Lottery games.

Interested parties are being invited to participate in the process, which will lead to the granting of the concession to operate, on an exclusive basis, the National Lottery games, which include the Lotto, the Super 5 and the Grand Lottery.

In addition, the successful bidder may also introduce other games of chance on a non-exclusive basis throughout the concession period.

The concession is currently held by Maltco Lotteries, in which Greece’s Intralot owns a 73 per cent shareholding.
