Vince Mazzeo (pictured), an assemblyman for the US state of New Jersey, has introduced a resolution calling on new US president Donald Trump not to restore the country’s federal ban online gambling.

The move comes in reaction to comments from Trump's nominee for US attorney general, Jeff Sessions, who said during confirmation hearings he'd like to take “a second look” at the ruling that cleared the way for real-money internet gambling in the US states of Delaware, Nevada and New Jersey.
Neither the president nor Congress are obligated to respond to Mazzeo’s resolution, which cited the boost online gaming had given to New Jersey’s ailing casino sector.
