Sportradar Integrity Services is to deliver a series of integrity education workshops at each of Italian volleyball’s 14 SuperLega clubs.
In a first for the sport of volleyball, Italy’s Lega Pallavolo Serie A has called on Sportradar to visit each of the 14 SuperLega clubs and provide a bespoke, volleyball-specific educational workshop to all the players and staff at those clubs.
President of the Lega Pallavolo Serie A, Paola De Micheli, said: “The first consideration that we made, when we evaluated the integrity programme with our partner Sportradar, was on the health of our sport.
“Our second thought, of course, was focused on the sport’s protection.
“We will travel to each club and outline what happened in other sports where the risks of match-fixing was underestimated. We will ensure there is no doubt about how critical an issue sport’s integrity is.”
