The 2016 edition of the EiG Expo, taking place this week in Berlin, Germany, closes today after three days of conferences and networking at Arena Berlin.

In its third and final year in the German capital, EiG has seen its most successful staging for some years. The floor has been visibly busier than in recent times and the exhibition more substantial; a view backed by organiser Clarion Events’ event director Rory Credland.

“This year we have seen a vast improvement,” said Credland. “We have seen an additional 20 exhibitors overall, with 30 of the total exhibiting here for the first time. We’ve re-arranged the floor layout to improve the flow, notably to and from conference sessions. And this has worked.”

Unverified figures for the three-day event report 1,812 pre-registrations, up from 1,555 in 2015. “We had more than 1,600 come through the door on day two alone,” said Credland. “We’re very happy - EiG is back.”

The organiser is not the only one singing the event’s praises. BetConstruct CEO Vahe Baloulian told iNTERGAMINGi that the show had been “a success” for the company. Amir Obralić, marketing manager at NSoft, added: “As this is NSoft’s fourth year at EiG, we can happily say the exhibition is getting better and better - not just for us, but for everybody involved.”

Wherever EiG next sets up home, there is a sense that the event has shaken off the concerns prior to the move to Berlin and, after three years in the German capital, emerges in better shape and looking at a brighter future.
