EiG 2016 kicked off in Berlin, Germany, this morning as the global online gaming community gathered at the Arena Berlin for three days of networking and showing off.

Three years after the show moved from Barcelona to the German capital, there is a sense that this is the biggest EiG for some years, certainly the fullest show floor in terms of exhibitors since the move.

There is a clear trend for larger stands, with exhibitors like BetConstruct and SBTech making customary impact. Elsewhere the Microgaming bar remains a firm favourite with visitors.

Early headlines were being made by the conference track with the session from Philip Shoemaker, former senior director of Apple's App Store Review, packing in the delegates (standing room only, pictured).

EiG traditionally struggles with its "difficult third day." The measure of the success of this year's edition of the show will be on Thursday, day three, but the early signs are encouraging.
