British sports fans can play on a new daily fantasy sports website after Sportito entered the UK market following the issuing of a licence by the UK Gambling Commission.
The company’s daily fantasy football games will give players the opportunity to win major cash prizes every day with entrance fees beginning at only £2.
While other DFS contests demand players commit for a whole season, the Sportito platform permits players to withdraw winnings at any time. Salary caps are also scrapped, giving players a straightforward, affordable and accessible way to play DFS without committing too much money and time.
Another major feature is the offer of free-to-enter competitions for new users, so that players can build up their skills before entering any of the 40-plus leagues and tournaments available to them.
Riccardo Mittiga of Sportito commented: “Fantasy sports is growing in Europe but is has not had as much attention as it has received in the US.” The company will now expand its service by adding competitions for other sports including rugby, basketball and motor sports, as well as seeking licences in other jurisdictions.
