Online operator 888 saw revenue climb by 19 per cent in the six months to June 30, to $262m, up from $220m for the same period last year.

B2C revenue increased by 21 per cent in the period, to $229.5m, while casino and sports revenues were up 31 per cent and 63 per cent respectively.   

Adjusted EBITDA rose by eight per cent year on year, to $44.1m, and profit before tax increased by 39 per cent to $27.8m.

CEO Itai Frieberger said in a statement: “888 has delivered a very encouraging performance in H1 2016, resulting in a 19 per cent increase in group revenue to a record $262m. This strong outcome was driven by outstanding momentum at 888Casino and 888Sport.

“In line with our strategic focus we have made further excellent progress developing 888 in regulated markets and have grown regulated revenue by 29 per cent against the prior year, reflecting strong performances in the UK, Spain and Italy as well as 888’s recent successful launch in Denmark.”
