Real-money internet gaming win in the US state of New Jersey rose by 38.6 per cent in July compared with the same period in 2015, to $17.4m from $12.5m.

Year–to-date figures are also up compared with the same point in 2015, totalling $112.2m – a rise of 32.8 per cent.

Borgata saw the least gain year-on-year; up just 3.7 per cent to $3.97m from $3.83m in July 2015. Tropicana fared better, rising 18.2 per cent to $3.2m in the month.

The big winners were Golden Nugget and Caesars Interactive, which leapt by 36 per cent and 27 per cent respectively, to $3.7m and $3.4m.

Resorts, which began offering PokerStars NJ in March, saw win climb from just $558,316 in July 2015 to $3m last month.
