A huge increase in Spain’s online gambling market has been revealed in new statistics, showing a growth in gross gaming revenues of more than 80 per cent in 2015.
The leap in revenues has followed the introduction of slot games to the business.
Bingo revenues increased by 37.6 per cent and sports betting by 34.4 per cent. The total number of registered online gamblers in Spain now stands at just less than 5.5 million, which is an increase of 36.7 per cent, while active players in December were 2.4 million, an increase of 25 per cent on the previous year.
