Italy i-gaming blacklist a success

Through its blacklist of illegal gaming websites, Italian regulator Agenzia delle Dogane e dei Monopoli has blocked nine billion attempts to access unlicensed sites since it began blacklisting websites in 2006, reports Gioco News.

To date, 5,708 illegal sites are on the blacklist. In 2015 alone, more than 800 million attempts to access illegal gaming sites were blocked.

However, the peak was reached in 2009 when more than 2.5 billion attempts were blocked.
