Wilsenach will be leaving the AGCC at the end of January after 14 years with the commission.

Lord Richard Faulkner, chairman of the AGCC, said: “While we are naturally sorry that André will be departing after 14 astonishingly successful years with us in Alderney, we are delighted that he has been sought out by the University of Nevada Las Vegas to set up and run such a highly prestigious academic centre.

“His appointment is a huge compliment to the quality and effectiveness of the AGCC’s regulatory regime, and to André’s achievement in helping to establish it. He leaves the commission in excellent shape.”

Wilsenach added: “The decision to move on has been a difficult one, especially, given my longstanding relationship with AGCC, Alderney and Guernsey. I am extremely proud of Alderney’s standing in the world as a jurisdiction and pleased to leave the AGCC in the hands of a very professional and capable leadership.”
