Evolution said that the deal, worth a total of €12.3m, will provide a number of financial and strategic benefits. It has been a tenant of the building, located just outside Riga, since 2011 and currently rents more than half of the total office space.

The need to expand its studio floor to accommodate the high demand for its casino products led the company to acquire the building’s owner.

Jens von Bahr, CEO of Evolution Gaming, stated that the acquisition provided “clear strategic advantages” for the company as they “strengthen the control” over their future. He also pointed out that the ability to expand the company’s studio floor would be much easier and claimed that the deal would have a “slight positive financial impact” in the long term.
