GVC to gatecrash 888’s bwin party?

GVC Holdings is considering its options regarding the potential acquisition of bwin.party, which recently accepted a bid from 888 Holdings, reports Reuters.

Last week, bwin.party accepted an offer from 888 worth around £900m, despite it being lower than the rival bid from GVC and partner Amaya, reportedly worth £908m.

GVC said there was no certainty that it would make an offer for bwin.party but did not rule out a bid.
