Peter Greenhill, CEO, e-gaming, department of economic development, said: “With over a decade of experience working for and with some of the biggest and most recognisable companies in the industry, Mark will bring invaluable insight to the e-gaming team.

"His first-hand knowledge of what it takes to establish, grow and run successful gaming operations will no doubt reinforce the Isle of Man’s world-class reputation as an e-gaming centre of excellence and help the continued growth in a sector which is currently around 13 per cent of our economy.”

Robson started his career in gaming working for Prima Poker. During his time with Prima, it grew to be the largest global poker network and he also managed the Monte Carlo Millions.

He then joined Microgaming to help launch its multi-player casino, before transferring full time into account management. In early 2013, he moved to Gibraltar and SHFL Entertainment’s newly formed interactive division.

Robson, who last year returned to the Isle of Man and set up his own consultancy firm, said: “I’m looking forward to working with Peter and the team to ensure that the Isle of Man remains the premier jurisdiction for gaming business.”
